About Karol Hatton and the Crystal Garden

The Crystal Garden is a great place to celebrate events, get great food or meet with friends.  Spring, summer, winter or fall- we have the perfect venue for dinners, wedding ceremonies and receptions and parties of all types.

Head Chef Karol Hatton is an expert in preparing food that appeals to people’s taste.  She has spent years working on hundreds of recipes and with food and wine in their pairings and in cooking. Cooking for parties since the age of 12, Karol has the unique talent of taking recipes and working with them to make them something special that is uniquely her own.

Ted Fuehne - Certified Wine Educator

Ted has had a passion for wine for more than 40 years, making and selling wine. In 1994, he joined Central Wholesale of Illinois which became a part of Southern Wines and Spirits in 2000 earning Ted a promotion to the position of Fine Wine Manager for all of southern Illinois. In 2003 Ted achieved the status of a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers. After becoming a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) in the Society of Wine Educators in 2007, he achieved the Society’s highest rating of a Certified Wine Educator (CWE) in May 2009.
